Watched most of it, including the Q&A parts (last two sections).

Nicely done, Peter! You handled the questions very smoothly, I thought.

At first it was hard for these Yank-tuned ears to follow the Aussie accent, especially because the sound was recorded at the back of the hall rather than close-miked. Between the Oz and the echoes, it took awhile to get acclimated.

I agree that you might want to work on the details of the presentation a bit. I would suggest putting one of your demos near the beginning to grab the audience's interest early (though this crowd seemed to be right with you anyway).

Also, rather than a small pile of talcum powder, I'd probably go with a bag of ready-mix cement, which I think approximates the lunar regolith better (but doesn't smell as nice). You might want to build a small frame, or maybe just carry the cement in a plastic storage container and do the demo right inside that (with the top of, of course).

But overall, it was an intersting talk and seemed to get a good response. Bravo!

Darn it, Svector has stolen my thunder!

I can't watch it at work, and don't have access at home, so I'll have to take viewers' word for it as to how good it was.

Yes, there are a number of things I'd change about the talk, but until there's a rush of people who want to hear me live, I have other things to do!

Sorry about that.

I got the notice from Mark and saw that no one here had mentioned it, so I decided to spread the news. I was anxious to see it and I knew others were also.

Great job btw, but I agree with Donnie - it took me some time to tune my ears for the Aussie accent. <g>

Might be better approximation, but isn't breathing this dust very harmful? I think, just to discredit himself at the expense of a joke, he should use crumbled cheddar cheese (you know, 'caus the moon's made of cheese).
