I'm too happy to take insult from injury.

Doing the numbers, I do see 27 Neptunian years would put me at 4509 Earth years of age.
My secret? Keep breathing as long as possible! And eat a nectarine!

They made reference to that in a Simpsons episode: homer was driving Mel around in a limo and had him act out the scene. (followed by the same request of Chief Wiggum, much to Mel's dismay). Never knew what they were talking about.

I was going to comment on some of the responses, but I forgot I started this thread because NASA erased my memory.

Don't feel too bad. Look at what they did to Reagan.

The whole idea of erasing memory, certainly memory of things as important as major hoaxes, is ridiculous. I still remember very very well what I saw in those leaked CIA documents back in the day and no technology in the world will ever be able to let me forget in what filthy way they managed to bribe the whole of, but it turned out to be his cousin who was now using his car and sold the motorcycle to his neighbour, hence my aunt's confusion. The grocery store clerk couldn't really follow the part about the motorcycle, but at least she got to the point and ordered the cabbages. And I got my saxophone back. So everything solved in the end. How did we arrive at this story? Must have been something you said.

For those who couldn't follow that post...keep in mind that he spelled Cabbage wrong. That should clear it up completely.

Ok, next time the Man zaps your memory halfway in a story, you try to make a coherent post.

I'm still waiting for verification that Aldrin and Mitchell claim to have had their memories erased. So far I have Randi quoting someone saying that Hoagland claims that they said that. Where's the proof it has been asserted?

I'd say it's a safe bet that Aldrin and Mitchell didn't say that. Has anyone actually seen evidence that Hoagland even claimed it?

It does not take a memory erasing machine for me mess up a post, lack of sleep and being busy usually does it for me.

If ego's were lighter than air, we'd have SSTO by now.

Actually no. Though to be fair I did just poke over to Enterprise Mission, but frankly I can't find squat on that page. It's a jumbled mess.

I did and found the same.

Is the interweb CW true that a person's website reflects the organization of their brain?

Yeah whats up with that? Hoagland gave up putting his words in writing because they come back to haunt him?

It's Reiner. But I only remember that because I'm in Germany, and know the spelling.

What I can't remember is who Carl Reiner is. I do seem to recall something about a Dick or a Dyke, but don't quote me on it, Van...

Edit: Er, sorry, Grand. I forgot your name, too.

Carl Reiner was definitely involved in the Dick Van Dyke show, among other things.
