There's so much I don't know about astrophysics. I wish I had read that book by that wheelchair guy.

My impression was that D was a stretched and otherwise manipulated version, but it's possible that it's somebody's modified face fit into the image. It seems odd that they would choose to have such a similar shadow on each one if they had a full face to play with though, since that's such a dead giveaway.

Another observation, specifically on the differences between "B" and "C", POV looks different; as in one taken close to "dirrectly overhead" and one after the camera had passed a bit. I'm sure there's folk 'round 'ere more familiar with the flight path of the surveyor, but to me they appear to be taken in sequence.

Assuming that; the dark spots representing the "eye" and "nose/nostril" will look smaller from dirrectly overhead, and larger from an angle. Looking at the one taken from an angle, I can see where the features that appear different would probably look the same as the overhead if you rotated the object in 3d space.

Again, realize that this is a "looks like" so is strickly subjective. I'm basing this off of my years of manipulating 3D objects that are being represented in 2D space (i.e., CGI work). I don't have access to my toys right now, but personally wouldn't waste my time on this particular claim anyway. Besides, I'm not a qualified photo analist either.

He seems to think that the images from Viking will help him prove his "faces" idea. He must know that there are higher resolution images available, so his "reliance" on lower res. images to make his "point" doesn't make a whole lot of sense.

It also seems that he is "in it" for the money. He's more than happy to sell you a DVD of what is likely publically available material.

Hey all. The 1st PRELIMINARY REPORT of THE FACES OF MARS.

A few comments.

Hair-split. The claim is not that the three new pictures contain transplanted cut-and-paste material from Cydonia imagery. However, there is incontrovertible evidence that the alleged face features in the three new images were digitally added and are not consistent with their context. That is conclusive proof that the pictures are compositions, not images taken of the Martian surface.

Your failure to respond to that evidence or even acknowledge that it exists is deliberately misleading.

Please explain why you did not address our findings at all in your article.

Circular and wrong. The original Cydonia face picture was published even though it was provocative. You argue that these pictures are provocative because they are not widely available despite their putatively interesting character; and you argue that they are not available because they are provacative. A more parsimonious conclusion is that they were hastily created on the computer as props for the video, then discarded at the end of the session.

If your claim is true that they are actual Martian imagery, then releasing them to a production company for use on international television indeed constitutes release to the public.

Pure speculation. You have absolutely no idea where those pictures came from, and you are unwilling to face the strong likelihood that they are simply cobbled-up props. Images simply handed over in a way that allows them to be used on-camera does not constitute "deep background." The hallmark of deep background is plausible deniability of its existence on the part of the supplier.

What did you do to investigate and eliminate the possibility that the pictures were simply created by the production company?

You have simply ignored all argument to the contrary and repeated your original baseless claims.

And now that you have demonstrated the ability to write in an ordinary coherent form, I formally request that you continue in that same style for your tenure here and refrain from your previous disjointed rant format.
