John Lear's 9/11 hologram theory (if it were any stupider, I'd bake a cake)
Honestly (and to my surprise) I have encountered perhaps the stupidest conspiracy theory of all time. Jim Morrison is alive and well living as a cowboy in the pacific northwest? Doesn't even come close. Richard 'C' claims that in fact there are glass structures of immense stature jutting out from the lunar surface? Close, but no cigar. Nancy Lieder getting into routine to channel the Zeta beings? Okay, perhaps...
But Lear's latest nonsense has gravitated to an entirely new level altogether. One step beyond even the latter sort of stupidity. Because he's outright slandering victims of that day without so much as a second thought. Sure, putting forth such an asinine theory as that is cause enough it could be argued. But through my recent exchanges with him, I've discovered the asinine theory itself is only minor compared to how far out on a limb he will go to convince the tin foil hats.
For example, over at 'above top secret' I couldn't help but engage him and a few die hard CT nut's regarding their suspicions relating to 9/11. To my surprise, Lear offers his usual blather in one exchange only to cap off the sheer nonsense with calling out flight 77 victim Charles Burlingame with a comment to this effect --
'I know you're out there Chuck, you're going to have to answer for your part in this sooner or later.'
(For any that aren't aware, Burlingame was the pilot of flight 77 on 9/11.)
I found myself really hoping that Lear actually believes in his own nonsense after reading that. But at the same time, I'm pretty sure that not be the case. Which makes it all even more troubling.
For all of the times I've heard Hoagland's nonsense on the airwaves, where he name drops the NASA JPL lab as if it's some routine stop throughout his daily routine -- I find none of that nonsense to be anywhere near as offensive (annoying sure), annoying to the point in where you would like to just turn a garden hose to Hoagland's face...But where Lear's going, actually calling out a 9/11 victim as described; nothing in the history of CT nonsense has ever offended me on a personal level to that extent. Perhaps this isn't the right place to call attention to it, perhaps it is (I don't know.)
But calling attention to such stupidity anywhere, is just something I can't contain at this point.
