Default John Lear madness on Coast to Coast

I listened in for a bit last night as John Lear, everyone's favorite crackpot was on.

According to him, the space shuttle actually visits several space stations each flight. It goes to the secret ones first, because it takes 72 hours for the shuttle to dock at the station, when it should only take them a few hours.

Pure madness from a kook.

Lets see, we all watch the shuttle in orbit, wouldn't we notice other space stations?

That pure bilge and bunk like this can be broadcast is very sad.

You're forgetting that many CT's contest that the space shuttle we all see is a decoy, and that the real shuttle launches from somewhere else.

Sure, that doesn't explaine the descrepency between the "fake" launch time and the ISS docking time, but the other rule for CT's is that all your claims don't have to be consistant with eachother.

So this week if the shuttle launches on time (that's a big "if" right now, I know) and I get a photo of it hanging out in space all by its lonesome less than 36hrs after launch, should I email it to ol' george noory and call him up on sunday to refute this guy? Or will noory just brush me off since lear isn't going to be on next week to provide any real proof?

No, the reason it looks like it is hanging out in space all by its lonesome is that the secret spacestation is painted black, so we won't see it. I mean, come on, this is really pretty easy.

I wonder what he would say if you asked him to calculate the launch mechanics and flight trajectory and energy requirements to launch straight up to the station then match dirrection and speed to dock all in just a couple of hours.

Hope the shuttle has a new pair of space brakes on it.

George Noory really bothers me. He seems like a fairly intelligent fellow, even a pretty nice guy...so much so that I find it hard to believe he is as gullible as he wants his audience to believe.

Which leaves me with the feeling that he is happy to spew all this bilge simply for money. Is he really that greedy and cynical?

I have mixed feelings about taking on a totally false persona in the name of entertainment. I mean, it's no different than what actors do everyday. But when you're pretending to represent something to an audience that is soo willing to take what you say and not just believe it, but live their lives based on that belief...

...Oh well, to some people the money and fame are all that matter. It's likely I'll never have much of either, so I guess it's not my place to say how I would act if I was in their spot.

Here's a little something that Mr. Lear hasn't considered. How does he know that the shuttle has docked to ISS 72 hours later? Well, because he watches it on NASA TV of course.

So according to him, NASA is lying about where the shuttle is, lying about the existence of space stations, BUT they are giving him the correct time for when they dock at ISS. If it's really supposed to take only a couple of hours, then NASA could just wait a couple hours after launch then announce to the world that the shuttle has docked. People like John Lear would believe it. But no, NASA is so stupid that they give the correct docking time - which then allows Lear to figure out the existence of other stations.

To be fair, it wasn't Noory last night, it was George Knapp.

Lear also stated that "Area 52" is near Area 51, and everyone is transported there via underground railroads. And that for decades we have had entire underground highways all around the world!

The guy is a nut, which is why ATA Airlines fired him as a pilot several years ago.

It's not easy to admit that we can't really known what we would do unless we were actually offered the chance to do it; your take is admirable and surprisingly humble. That said, I still think I couldn't tolerate some of the nonsense these guests spew. There's a certain level at which I could understand hosting it for entertainment like a paranormal jerry springer; listening to spooky ghost stories is fun whether or not you believe in spirits coming back to haunt people (and I think the same idea applies to most paranormal stories, be it alien abductions or sasquach).

But it comes to a point like this where it's not just entertaining stories anymore, but it's propaganda from people who want you to believe that something is the indisputable truth (and everyone who tells you otherwise is either uninformed or a paid liar if they persist) without being able to offer proof or even personal testimony. I couldn't sit there and host some of this stuff without blowing my lid. I start to feel for Noory when I hear a guest inquire as to whether or not Noory will agree with and subscribe to their particular theory; I couldn't play nice at that point at all, no amount of money would keep my mouth shut and smile showing. All I can figure is that Noory must be very open minded far beyond my own ability (even if he doesn't completely believe half the stuff). I'm even a religious man, but once I started hearing shows talking about 9/11 conspiracy theories, moon hoaxes, and secret space stations I just had to shut it off; it wasn't fun anymore, it was insinuating that lots of people are liars when in reality, they aren't.

Well, its well known that Art Bell was receiving money from sleazeballs like Ed Dames and Richard Hoaxland.

Its a great gig for grifters.

Sadly, every once in a while a guy spins a lie and cult members kill themselves.

Default more Lear wild claims.must read very funny!

The starter of this thread left out the imho wildest John Lear claims from last night..

1. An amateur astronomer he knows has in fact posted video on youtube of these secret US orbiting space stations..So I ask you astronomers here, why are you all covering them up? after all the proof is there on youtube for all to see,ha!
2. Not space related but my favorite...In discussing the Nevada desert US Navy Undersea Weapons center, George Knapp admitted he was puzzled why such a center would be in a desert hundreds of miles from any ocean..
Mr. Lear was glad to explain in detail..Mr.Lear explained that 4,300 ft underground are large channels of the pacific ocean that extend from the california coast to under this USN nevada desert facility, and that in the facility are large elevators raise and lower the USN nuclear subs between the facility and these underground channels for them to sail back and forth to the pacific ocean!

3. Yes, the US space program has secret moon bases (he says the us manned missions have been traveling between the moon and mars since
1962 for the moon and 1966 for mars!)

In conclusion again I ask in tounge and cheek, why are you all covering up the secret us space stations? ha!

If there is a secret base on the Martian surface as I'm writing these words, permit me to humbly submit my request to be relocated to said installation immediately. Like to take my wife, dogs and cats, and extend the invitation to my mother and sister as well. Think we could all do with some time away from some of the madness here on planet Earth -and I hear the weather near Cydonia is nice this time of year.

I tried to track the ISS tonite with my Meade. Everything was perfect, the countdown started...and I realized my neighbor's house was in the way for the acquisition of the craft.

Damn......

Looked pretty in my binocs.

I wonder how the SECRET stations look?

Well, why does the Shuttle take three days to dock? Back in the '60s the Gemini pilots got good enough to rendezvous with Agena in only one orbit. Of course, it takes a very tight launch window to do that, but a m=1, 2 or 3 rendezvous seems to be a reasonable thing to shoot for. It would maximize their working time at the station.

Isn't the issue getting to the ISS, not the time needed to do the actual docking?

Basic orbital mechanics.

You get two chances every day to launch an ISS rendezvous mission from the Kennedy Space Center: when the launch site passes through the inclined ISS orbital plane. In practice, you get only one because you can't adjust the launch azimuth southward to match the orbital inclination; only northward, otherwise the ET falls someplace where it's not supposed to go. So you get one launch window a day, only minutes in duration at most.

Now the ISS scoots along its orbit on its own schedule. And that schedule may not line up well with the launch window time constraints to put the ISS in a receivable position. If you wanted a direct-ascent rendezvous, you'd have to wait until the Earth's orbital rotation synchronized with the ISS orbital period, and that launch window wouldn't come very often.

So the shuttle is launched into the ISS orbital plane whenever its readiness schedule, weather, and so forth make it expedient -- in the plane, but not at the ISS altitude. The shuttle orbits at a lower altitude initially, and therefore at a faster speed. In that mode, you catch up to the ISS for free, without expending any fuel or engaging in complicated and dangerous orbital maneuvers. So at some point after launch, when the shuttle has caught up to the ISS, it executes two posigrade burns to raise its orbital altitude and execute the rendezvous.

The other problem with the direct-ascent rendezvous is that it wears out the flight crew. Just getting to orbit is a full day's work that starts many hours before launch. So the notion of hastening the rendezvous in order to provide more working time at the ISS isn't really that important because the crew would be too tired to do anything anyway.

I had to find a new avatar for my Steam account and I came across that, so figured I'd use it here too. Only downfall is it lacks the word, "Tomfoolery", but we'll just say it's implied.

Smile John Lear...

We are missing the best theory of his, about the "Soul Collector" on the Moon, and the Alien Base on Martian Satellites...I won't recount it here, but these were the epitome of strangeness, to me, anyhow...

George Noory does not want corrections or objections to his guests, or at lest his call screeners do not...I have tried to get on his show to bring up some fairly logical points with his guests, no chance. I do not know about Mr. Knapp, I have not tried when he is running things there...

Back in the Gemini days they launched the target so it would be in the right position for a fast rendezvous when they launched the Gemini. Today, the ISS is already in orbit and they have to do the best they can with what they have.

Is there a transcript of this interview? With Lear talking about massive underground channel leading to the Nevada facility?

BTW - you can't write this sort of stuff. Life IS stranger (as in woo-woo not different! 8-)) than fiction.

I always remember that picture of the USAF underground tunnel boring machine at Little Skull Mountain. Anybody seen that.
The "Soul Collector" thing sounds like it was taken from an episode of Babylon 5. Or maybe Hollywood's been making money off of aliens for years. Hey, that could be how they fund all the black projects. Like secret space stations.

My biggest beef with C2C is that none of the hosts will challenge with any conviction the assertations by the "guests".

BTW, John Lear also is promoting his theory that the planes impacting the WTC towers on 9-11 were actually holograms.

'Nuff said.

As much as I loathe Dames, I do believe they ran some of his RV material advertisments. Hell, people go on many talk shows to hawk their books or what have you.
