The summary leads me to think it's 400 pages of the same old crap that's been foisted off on unsuspecting readers for decades by self-appointed "investigators." "Inconsistencies" in "photos and communications." Been there; done that. Not history, not science: just a scam.

About the Author
Gerhard Wisnewski, born in 1959, studied political science. Since 1986, he has worked as an author and documentary filmmaker. In 2003, he made the first critical television documentatary on the attacks of September 11, 2001, in a large worldwide broadcast. His books in German include: Operation 9/11; Mythos 9/11, and Das RAF-Phantom. His documentary film Das Phantom, based on the book, was awarded the Grimm Prize in 2000.
Fitting perhaps that his 'documentary' work won an award named after the creators of fairy tales?

Quote:
After having produced his critical film on 9/11 for the West German
Television (WDR), Wisnewski was fired.
Really? I'm shocked.

Well in Wisnewskis case it may be more about his hatred for the USA than about money.

Anyway, he already has his own section on the german Clavius

http://www.clavius.info/bibwisnewski1.htm

If the need arises we could always translate that.

I didn't mean for that to come off completely dismissive. Only partially dismissive. Those blurbs are written by editors and publishers to sell the book. If you have something new and interesting in the book, you emphasize that new and interesting thing in order to differentiate yourself from the competition. If the marketing blurb says nothing more than what we can get already from Percy or Rene or Jack White, then what's the point? The blurb mentions no arena of evidence that hasn't already been done to death.

Well in Wisnewskis case it may be more about his hatred for the USA than about money.

So I understand. He seems to have a reputation for anti-American polemics. Not that there's anything wrong with criticizing the American government, but criticism can either be based in fact or else in a fervent desire to portray the subject in poor light at all costs. Wisnewski seems to fall into the latter category.

If the need arises we could always translate that.

Martina does excellent work, doesn't she? I think we should probably translate into English at least what she has written so far. Then when the book is released we can add to it as necessary.

Where in Bavaria do you live? I gave some concerts there about 10 years ago: in the Wieskirche and at the abbey in Ettal. The latter was poorly attended because our agent had the misfortune to schedule our performance at the same time as an important football match. We stayed in a lovely little hotel in Oberammergau -- of interest to this group as the town in which Wernher von Braun and his team agreed to surrender to the Allies. I have a nice set of woodcarving tools I purchased there, back when you could transport on an airliner anything sharper than a bowling ball.

[off topic]JayUtah, as you give concerts in Germany, do you ever visit the UK?

I know a decent pub and a decent coffee shop if you drop by Newcastle [/off topic]

I have concertized in the U.K. (London) before but I have been away from merrie olde England for far too long. I need to visit again, and the pub and/or coffee shop sounds like a nice stop.

And if you have a flight attendant on each side of the galley area you can try to pick up that elusive seven-ten split for the spare.

Reminds me of a Dutch commercial, where you see a pilot giving a passenger two pieces of twine, says "I have to to go the bathroom, take over for a minute please", and then snickers together with the co-pilot as the woman starts getting a look of panic in her eyes.

Heck, it's well-established that he's welcome to visit any time he's in the Seattle area--which, of course, is not the UK, but why should you guys be special just because you're on another continent?

A friend of mine just joined the Pacific Northwest Ballet's apprentice company, so I should probably skedaddle up to Seattle to see him dance sometime.
