Default Happy Birthday Neil!

As this forum wouldn't exist without him :-) I think it doesn't mean cluttering it up when I use the occasion to remind the humble audience, that today, August 5th (yeah, my American friends, Old Europe is ahead of you ) is Neil Armstrong's 73rd birthday!

Happy Birthday, Neil!

I'll add my congratulations too.

An inspiration to many many people, I soooo wanted the UK to have a manned space programme. Still I was only 4 at the time...

Happy birthday, Mr A. What you and your colleagues achieved stands as a testament to the greatness that the human spirit is capable.

I had the honor and privilege of meeting the good Mr. Armstrong when I was in high school in the Cincinnati area (ages ago it seems). It was when he was a professor at the University of Cincinnati and he informally spoke with my college visitation group. Some of us were considering Aerospace Engineering as a major and he was gracious enough to speak with us. Nothing deep, just a few quick questions then he had to qo but WOW! My brush with history and the basis of my screen name!

So, what do you think Buzz got him for his birthday? Perhaps a copy of the tape showing Buzz clocking BS? Be nice if Neil could celebrate his 74th on the Moon.
