Scienara: A rejection of reason and evidence.

This is a debunking forum for open minded skeptics and as such, this is the forum to discuss the opinions of believers. The tree of life, dragons and the whole range of issues involving ancient beliefs and texts without invoking religion. This is something I believe in very strongly, very strongly and do not dismiss out of hand just because I have not seen personally.

If at some point in the future there is a better understanding of the why and the belief associated with some of these most ancient of symbols then that knowledge adds to the overall enrichment of human knowledge. It can not and must not be accepted by those who profess to be genuine skeptics but that is only because to be believable it must be proven. Clash of culture or belief ... as simple as that.

Perhaps the idea is to make people think, question current or long held ideas or cause someone to admit what they really do think and what the affect and impact of being a very ordinary person in a most extra ordinary universe might actually mean to them. Some do not believe in coincidence and that may be quite a well held perception ... but at some point there comes a time that it really does not cut it any longer, that feeling is real.

So whether it is your reality or perception of reality ... at some point it just is and it is not a matter of escaping it but learning how to live with it.

There is a logic (don't ask what logic) that leads one in deeper and deeper and a counter logic that just says this can not be happening. After a while it is a realisation that for what ever reason one has to exist ... there is just as easy a reason to not have that existence. It becomes a search for truth, a personal search which is just not going to cut it with everybody.
