And the secret plaque on the Apollo 12 lunar module reads, "PLEASE VISIT OUR OTHER LOCATION IN MARE TRANQUILITATIS."

I don't know if anyone else will find this interesting, but back in 1969 I wrote a short story on this very theme. A group of alien explorers found and correctly understood the message on the plaque, which they found very moving... because they had already discovered that the Earth was desolate after mankind destroyed itself.

I wish I still had a copy of that...

Of course, that really depends on how long you let them ferment.

Yes, there is something to the Moon being inhabited. It was inhabited on the following dates:

07.20.1969 to 07.21.1969
11.19.1969 to 11.20.1969
02.05.1971 to 02.06.1971
07.30.1971 to 08.02.1971
04.21.1972 to 04.24.1972
12.11.1972 to 12.14.1972

Strangely, these dates coincide with Apollo missions 11, 12, 14, 15, 16, and 17.
