What's interesting to me is that he keeps "flapping" the hatch. The only reasons I can think of for this is either:
1) He's trying to stir up the air so that paper looks like it's weightless or moving toward the vacuum.
2) He's trying to pump the atmosphere into space to get it up into the vacuum.

alleged vacuum, the alleged vacuum...

No, actually, the hatch made a funny squeeky noise when moving it, and he had fun making that noise. (woops, there go the vacuum claims!)

Thats actually interesting. I have no idea if they did but I have never seen such.
If they did then the behaviour of flags in the 60s could be compared to the chinese one.

Anyone know of any footage of such a thing in any space program heretofore?

That wasn't my point, really. I just thought the flag waving was overly dramatic. I don't mean to distract from the technical achievement, which has enough merit on its own.

Buzz Aldrin carried two small flags during his Gemini XII EVA, but they weren't American flags, they had printed messages. One of them mentioned Veteran's Day and the other one said "Go Army, Beat Navy." His commander Jim Lovell didn't like that one apparently. This can be seen in the special features on the In The Shadow Of The Moon DVD.

Stand up EVAs count? Cool! That's the perfect kind of EVA for me! (Is afraid of her own shadow.)

There should be a sarcasm emoticon.

Yes, there's a desperate need for a sarcasm emoticon.

I looked at the entire list, and there isn't one that even comes close to expressing sarcasm.

(It is possible that that one isn't universal.)

This proves that a flag CAN wave in vacuum and completely refutes one of the silly moon hoax arguments.
OK, I think I get it. This whole thing is a sarcastic comment on American flag allegedly waving during Apollo 15.

Right?

Sarcasm is a noun, "Her sarcasm......"

Sarcastic is used as an adjective/adverb
"His overly sarcastic tone..."
"You are being sarcastic..."
