Seems like a load of rubbish, thought you might like to pull it to pieces:

Unedited version of the clip. I don't see a bubble in the unedited version, and while the conspiracy video makes the claim that the astronaut says "water," and my Chinese is exceedingly rusty, but IIRC the Mandarin word for water is pronounced "shuway," which I do not hear on either the edited or unedited video. You'll notice that while you see lights reflected on the watch face and a wrist mirror (if it is a wrist mirror, and I wonder why they felt it necessary to have that), you don't see them on the face shield. Another, more complete clip, of the unedited video. In this one, you get a fairly decent look at the "wrist mirror" and while you can't see exactly what it is, you can notice twin rows of dots on it. The position of the dots do not change as the astronaut moves his arm around. Were those dots a reflection of something, I'd expect them to shift as the astronaut moved his arm. I think that this can then be said to be a definitive case of interweb fakery.

If that's in water and those are bubbles of air, I wonder exactly what is propelling them. They aren't all moving in the same direction, so it's hard to imagine that it could be buoyancy.
As for the one that appears to speed up, it also appears to be coming toward the camera. If thats the case, then its upward motion would appear to be speeding up in the image - if you get closer to a camera, then the same amount of lateral motion will result in a greater change in the angle between the object and the camera. (On the other hand, if the object really were accelerating straight up then we'd expect it to trace a parabolic trajectory, not the straight one seen in the video.) |

I thought that the "the Earth doesn't move/the clouds move too fast" dichotomy was hilarious.
And Vangelis should sue. Them YouTubers keep nicking his music.

There's also the scarcity of the bubbles. If you look at the shots of the NASA tank, the still photos are the only ones with no bubbles. I've seen enough clips of astronauts in the tank to know that there's pretty frequent bubble releases from the astronauts.
Besides, doing a spacewalk is relatively "easy" if you're in orbit and got a spacesuit.

If the water flow is moving the flag so fast, then how does it travel a full 360 degrees? And I am thoroughly convinced that they are capable of a hoax of this magnitude given the fact that they can lie about a gymnast's age. ![]()

They took a flag outside the spacecraft. Noob mistake; they are going to be hearing about how the damn thing moves in a vacuum for decades.
Whats 'the astronauts are holding it!' in Mandarin I wonder.

Hi all. Well too make a long story short a member posted this issue up on different forum site that is non-related to astronomy in an off-topic. I showed a little interest in this over the months and today he posted an updated and then I started thinking? I wonder if this is on youtube? Well I’ve seen and was a little disgusted in how cheaply it was done and on the sly as well. And doesn’t water freeze in space? The clouds suddenly making a fast change within 2 seconds, huh? The echo and clear voice communication sounded more like a large hall and that was just all I could stomach from this mumbo jumbo ![]() ![]() China, shame, shame on you we know you're name.
