I am hoping CTC will host a debate between RCH and Sibrel, that would be a heck of a slug fest. And they'd probably cancel each other out.

Definitely not, the story predated Captain Scarlet by some decades and from what I can remember all the faking is done through telescopic observations.

Edit:If anyone can remember the title, please let me know.

I'll give the first a look at from a net cafe, as for the second still waiting for them to do what we all want to see, the Apollo landing sites.

While I'm pretty sure the people behind this petition on an environmentalist site:

"Stop NASA From Bombing the Moon!"

Quote:
The excuse given is that this is an effort to find water deep under lunar surface. But it also serves as a live-fire test exercise for US war strategists with an interest in the precision of orbiting satellite weapons... in other words, the southern hemisphere of the Moon will be turned into a firing range, making this mission one giant leap for the global reach of space warfare.
http://www.thepetitionsite.com/2/sto...mbing-the-moon

Are pranksters, I'd be even more worried if it turned out they were not.

Here you go, related: NASA reveals artifact on the Moon:

Smoke stack, obviously. Must be an underground factory there. Wait. Oh, it's an antenna. Look, it was caught in the act of transmitting mind-control rays!

Just jumping the conspiracy gun.

This is just a practice shot for lobbing cylinders at Mars later this year when it's as big as the full moon. See my sample chapter

Something about the phrase 'slug fest' seems so right. If a bit demeaning to slugs.

Richard Boylan apparently sent out an email planning a mass psychic event to stop the bombing, so the "star visitors" on the moon will be safe.

(Second post down.)

I look forward to the psychic fail.

Apparently LCROSS imacted the Moon yesterday...standing by for Moon disintegration, and the Earth flying out of it's orbit...

Where are the CTs?

Here we go courtesy of The Register

My personal favourite is quoted below.

Either way you have no right to jepardize my kid's fate. the core of the moon could be ice and it would crack and send asteroids to us and throw the earth out of orbit. you do NOT have the right to decide it I will take that chance!
All I can say to that is, it ain't 1999 lady...

Why did people think the LCROSS impact would "send the Moon out of orbit"? They must not be aware of the larger objects that have impacted on the Moon without sending it out of orbit, like, say, the Apollo 14 Saturn IVB.

I blame the media. Even highly respected "news talkers" were saying things like "NASA is going to bomb the Moon!"

I once confronted a CT with that information during a debate about the "negative consequences" of LCROSS. His reply was "how do you know it [S-IVB] didn't do anything bad to the moon?" Invisible lawn gnomes have apparently been doing bad, bad things to the moon for the last 40 years...

I spend a lot of time among the conspiricy crowd and even many of them have been looking at the stories floating around on LCROSS and saying "wow, you guys are nuts".
It's pretty bad when your told you're a woo woo.....by a woo woo.
