Thanks
This is also what I thought, but it looked so serious that initially I was shocked.

They have a special take on gravity too. Extra funny if you know a bit about the Intelligent Design pseudoscience controversy.

What has not been mentioned yet is that it was LANCE Armstrong who was convinced of the Hoax.

ToSeeked. That's okay, though; I think this article needs its own thread. I've started one over at JREF.

Haha, here's my favorite line:
Quote:
JayUtah: What qualifications do you have to support your argument?!! (You know, 'caus Jay often uses a multi-punctuation'al approach) Conspiracist: Well, I'm *quite* the engineering buff! JayUtah: Oh. Oh . . . well, then. Hmm. You got me there. Carry on.

The Onion is satire.
No real newspaper would print space-related news as frequently as they do.

I liked the article Mars Rover Beginning To Hate Mars.

I half wonder if the author of the Onion article had lurked here or at ApolloHoax. Of course, that isn't actually necessary - the style and claims are common enough - but it just felt so much like the stuff I see here.

I caught the Rene reference, with "self-taught engineer" becoming "quite the engineering buff." The Kaysing connection is more tenuous, but you may be onto something. Still trying to figure out if "Coleman" is a play on anything.

He's been researching the subject on the Internet for years.
The whole article is made from pure concentrated win!

They may have convinced Armstrong but did they convince JayUtah.
