The memory must be fuzzy for you, too, since Frog March is right. I'll take your word for the voting though. I'm afraid of what I'll remember if I think too hard about that night.

I did know that you(Tobin Dax) where a she but I was referring to Greenfeather who I think is a she too.

I knew I should have made myself clearer.

Same here. I haven't gotten any clear indication about greenfeather, who is the one I used the 'he' pronoun in reference to.

I miss the old multi-tier system. It gave me something to look forward to -- getting my post-doc someday. Now I'm just a senior member.

Greenfeather is female. I, however, am not.

i have just one question about these senior/junior member "milestones"

why is it so easy to become a senior member, i'd have thought it would take more than 100 posts

My understanding is that it reduces the tendency for people to make lots of short content-free posts for the sake of getting to the next level. It also proved to be a sort of false status.

There is talk that the location will be changed for the next meeting. The natives complained that the last initiation ceremony - where all the BAUT Senior Members tried to do the hula in unison - caused the island to rock uncontrollably.

(I won't name names, but some of you need to lose weight and gain rhythm.)

Sad but true. The real tremors were from most of us doing the WAVE while Phil and Fraser were mud-wrestling. My understanding is that the local zoning board is most likely going to let us off with a warning.

At least not the Tobin part. Dax, on the other hand is questionable. (but, I'm sure most of you knew that.)

Well, looking at this thread, I can see that plan is working beautifully.

The idea was to reduce the tendency, not to squash it completely.

Until they found out that the aftershocks caused some astronomical instruments on Mauna Kea to go out of calibration.

Ok. I see "Senior Member".

How long 'till I get to be a "Disinfo Agent"?

You'll need a lot more than just a lot of posts.

For one, you have to know the secret handshake...

Do senior members ever die, or do their post counts just slowly fade away?
