Default Problems trying to report a post.

I've tried several times this morning to report a post I find particularly repugnant, but keep getting this message:

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 20971520 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 1024 bytes) in /home/baut/domains/bautforum.com/public_html/includes/functions_search.php on line 196

Is the "Report Post" function broken?

Whynot just PM a moderator with the link to the post

The reports were being generated - don't know why you got that message. Sticks has the best advice for when it appears reports aren't working, though I'd suggest PMing multiple moderators to improve the odds of one being on duty.

Actually, in my case I tried PMing Tinaa, who was online at the time, and a similar memory error was created. I cleared my PM cache, which was maxed at the time, and still had problems sending a PM her way.

No love from the bbs gods for me.

That seems to be a recurring, albeit random, problem.

I PMd one that was listed as online. antoniseb was kind enough to let me know that the report was generated. If I wouldn't have heard back, I would have sent a few more PMs.

I think I know why this is happening. I'll try a fix.

Something similar is still happening, albeit early in the AM. In my case the "Report Post" window, after hitting submit, goes into "sending" mode and appears to get caught in a loop, never displaying a message that the report has been sent.

There is a ten minute period in the morning when the system is doing backups, and responses are slow. This seems to be happening at about 11:00UT. It also sometimes gets bogged down for 45 seconds when we check some details about spammers.

I've never had that problem. But I have noticed, both a work with high-speed, and at home with dial-up, that the "processing" time for sending the bad post report seems to be longer than other postings. At least that is my impression.
