Automatically: use the "quote button at the right bottom of the post.
Manually: [ quote=name]the quoted message[/quote] but remove the space before "quote" Result: Quote:
(hm I tried to do this using code tags but this board still process tags inside the code box...)

[QUOTE=Nicolas;1038227]
(hm I tried to do this using code tags but this board still process tags inside the code box...)[/QUOTE] You could use [noparse] [/noparse] That's interesting, by the way: The line above uses nested "Noparse" statements.

Just a little experimentation:
[QUOTE=Test] I can put bold tags outside noparse + quote tags[/QUOTE] Code:

I copy the quote section first.
Then I click on the "quote" button. The non-quote text appears, at which point I insert (paste) the quote in the appropriate location. Finally I highlight the quote and click on the "quote" icon. That does the trick. Oh yeah, I also delete spaces until the quote commands (i.e., the [ ]s that read "quote" and "/quote") are bumping up against each other. The result is a well-formatted post without unnecessary spaces.
