For videos, that would use the OBJECT element to embed them into a post (or another website), if HTML is enabled (it doesn't seem to be, on this board, but I have seen it permitted on at least one other). Youtube lets people who post video there to decide for themselves whether they will allow others to embed thier videos in this way.
