Ha, I got there first! But, seven day ban either way.

It's interesting that these last two incidents - Coldcreation and Noclevername - drew the attention of more than one Mod, but each Mod had the same reaction.

Xylophobe, Crosscountry banned 7 days each for blatant pornographic posting, a Rule #3 violation, and one which will not be tolerated on a board frequented by children.

Edit: Upon further reflection, I feel I over-reacted to the situation. While a banning was in order, in hindsight it clearly does not warrant a 7 day banning. Ban reduced to 24 hours, with time served. My apologies to both Xylophobe and Crosscountry for letting my personal taste influence the decision. Note: this revision was made without prompt or complaint that I am aware of.

Sam5 basically hijacked another Member's Q&A thread and used it to discuss his own ATM ideas. Both of these are violations of the BAUT rules. He also ignored my post telling him to stop.

I have split the posts from the Q&A thread into a new thread in ATM.

Sam5 is banned for 3 days starting yesterday, 4/18.

South East is banned for seven days for posting (many times) extensive copyrighted material. He might have simply been warned (my first thought), but he has been previously warned for thread hijacking and posting hot links.

After being warned, astrocat kept up the rudeness and continued to avoid answering questions in his ATM thread. Three day suspension and his thread is locked until he PMs a Mod that he has decided to follow the rules.

youngneill has bee suspended for a week for bad language. He has only been on the forum for three posts, so we don't know whether he is a troll, or someone that will contribute once he knows the rules. We're hoping he's in the latter category.

Kryton has been banned permanently for a flagrant violation of Rule 11 by deleting the content of all his posts after being warned about editing the content of his posts in this thread.

A.DIM suspended for one day. R.A.F. warned. Basically A.DIM is an ATM supporter, and R.A.F. is a mainstream guy (mostly). R.A.F. has been dogging A.DIM for almost anything he posts, and A.DIM has been pushing R.A.F.'s buttons. So, I have suspended A.DIM for one day, and promise to suspend both of them in the future for much longer if they continue picking on each other. I'm sad to do this, because I like them both, and think they each bring something interesting to the forum.

believer has been suspended for 2 years. This term may get shortened or made into a full banning depending on conversations amongst the moderators.

The short story is that in five posts total, she has ignored all warnings, and simply posted every post in violation of our no religion rule. If she'd been posting anything with content about astronomy or spaceflight, we'd give her a little more leeway, but for now, she looks like just another troll trying to stir up arguments on religious topics. Perhaps in two years, she'll be more interested in our topics.
