This board really needs 8-10 active moderators in order to be monitored properly. With various explicit and implicit dropouts, we were down to about 4 or 5. This gets us back to a decent level with some room to spare.

14, officially. But Josh and kashi have been away for a while, so 12 for all practical purposes.

I'm only involved in a few serious discussions lately -
next thing I know, nearly half of the participants have become moderators ...
that's scary ...

congratulations ...

I see there´s only one mod in the Far East time zones [Kashi in Australia], and none in the India Time. If I were an admin I´d be interested in filling the gaps. Just out of curiosity, what would be the basic criterion for the choice of mods [assuming it´s not secret]. Native Anglophony [well, there´s Hendrik] or something?

I went to bed early last night because I had to go to the hospital this morning for another medical procedure, I missed Frasers PM he sent me, so my reply was late, that is all.

I assume stability of mind and posting style--and if not native Anglophony, at least skill in the language would be helpful. I would think anyone with a regular habit of questionable posts would be right out.

Congratulations to all the new Moderators!

That's reasonably accurate, though if one's ethics are sound, being a mod shouldn't crimp their style (or contributions).

I have the utmost confident our mods, new and old alike, will moderate fairly, and effectively!

So, not to worry, Whirlpool - not to worry. Matters are well in hand...

Before anyone gets too excited, please reference the word between super and admin, above - Thanks.

Glad it can now be public, Chrissy.

You go, girl.

As opposed to the Yugo Girl, who rusted very quickly.
