I found a very interesting utility on the Internet that simulates galaxy collisions on your PC: http://loke.as.arizona.edu/~ckulesa/astrosoft.html
Here are my initial settings: 0 0 100 0 0 0 5 5 1 QuickDraw and Reverse checked, number of iterations set to 9999. The result are the two galaxies colliding top-down and bottom-up, with both being totally destroyed in a highly cataclysmic dual cone expansion pattern! Play with it for a while - you'll get hooked!

The Gravity and Planetary Orbits program is actually quite useful. Science and fun, does it get any better than that?
