Well, not sure I'd really call it pop as such. An album by Candlemass called Epicus Doomicus Metallicus. You won't find a finer example of doom metal anywhere.

Having just watched Star Wars III, and hearing the fourths played by the timpani at the end of the credits, I of course started Mahler's Third in my mind. We're up to the Comodo-Scherzando. Ohne Hast., based on one of his Wunderhorn lieder Ablösung im Summer.

There's more to music than just songs.
