Correct.

But as they're speaking (dictating) they often pause to spell out -- letter by letter -- the name of a medication. And they often (verbally) misspell it.

In 2003, a boat attempting to win the Jules Verne Trophy (fastest non-stop 'round-the-world' trip), ran into some difficulties when a giant squid latched onto the boat (article).

A big oops; on January 12th 1917 a US Armoured Cruiser, the USS Milwaukee, while attempting to drag a stranded submarine off a beach was itself stranded by a series of errors and mistakes-and bad weather.

After the codification of the ritual of harakiri/seppuku in the 15th century. 1,500 Japanese a year followed its 'path' even in modern Japan. Earlier it was used to erase dishonor now debt or business failure.

Alright - back to the posting of the random facts...

On the TV show Just the Ten of Us (???), three of the daughters were in Nightmare on Elm Street movies. Heather Langenkamp (Marie) played Nancy in the first and third and herself in the seventh. Brooke Theiss (Wendy) played Debbie in the fourth. Joanne Willette (Connie) played one of the girls on the bus at the beginning of the second. Heather Langenkamp mentioned Nightmare on Elm Street in the first episode.

Ah! I wasn't aware of that.

The use of antiseptics for surgury is credited to Joseph Lister of England in 1867.

Fact: At 8am I brush my teeth and my mouth is OK all day.
At 11pm, (13 hours later) as I go to bed, I brush my teeth again.
When I wake up at 8am (9hours later) my mouth tastes vile.

I've wondered about that too--even if I go to sleep for a couple hours and wake up, already I feel a film on my teeth. Perhaps you stop producing saliva in your sleep?
