Default Sam Neill DVD Twofer Giveaway!

This thread is for the Sam Neill twofer DVD giveaway contest I described on my blog. To register, just post (only once, please) in this thread! On Saturday May 5th at noon (Pacific) I'll pick a random post number, and that person wins the DVDs. As usual, see the blog for details.

Hmm. What happens if you pick 1? Do you keep it then?

Well, here's my entry, per se. I'm in US, although you did say you'd ship anywhere this time.

if I say I'm the President of my local astronomy club, does that swing the "randomness" in my favor?

Count me in!!

Astronomer Phil Plait: Are you of the body? You will place The Dish, and Hyperspace here on the table. Thank you. I find them, "absorbing."

Oooooo! Oooooo! I want one before I go to bed! Hope it's (quickly counts on fingers) fifteen! When the number is picked, do you start from the initial post or from the first reply?

Mr Obvious, presumably he would limit the random number picker to the set of integers that corresponds to posts on the forum that are not his. It wouldn't do him much good if he didn't -- imagine picking a truly random number, compared with the number of posts that are going to be here, without limiting what the choices are. The chances of getting a number that coincides with a post would approach zero rather quickly.

So anyway, I also would like to win.

We nearly had this guy at our con! Oh well, a DVD of him would be good to.

Default The Dish - it's coming back home!

Well, not quite. It's set in New South Wales and I'm in Victoria but it's close enough. Didn't the Australians do a great job of pretending those signals came from the Moon

Third contest, third try...

I live in Spain, but I have got a multizone DVD player.

I haven't watch Hyperspace. I watched 'The Dish' some years ago, and I enjoyed the movie. Maybe some facts are bad shown but it's a fun movie.
