The present perfect tense is used to discuss things that have happened in the recent past.
Examples:
Sir Arthur Clarke ha muerto.
Sir Arthur Clarke has died.

Cassini has visited Enceladus, the moon of Saturn.

The Endeavour astronauts have returned to Earth.

The only one I know.

Una cafa con lecture, poufavo
One coffee with milk please

With my guess at spelling I expect I'd get a slap from the waiter though!

It would actually be spelled more like this:
Una cafe con leche, por favor.

No wonder I got slapped! Spent six months in Gibralter and that's the only Spanish I could say

A little paragraph I wrote for practice. Tell me if I made any mistakes:

Good, but I´d say:

Reference for lanzadera espacial.

Mind you, KaiYeves, this is not the best place to ask advice about Spanish. I can point you to a good one, if you wish.

Or medicine, or quantum physics... I think you´re taking it too seriously. We´re just having fun with Spanish, and KaiYves is not he only one on the game.

Excuse the bad verb 'comienzar', but 'lanzadera de espacio' is admissible, though not of general use..

You can copy and paste the characters from existing text, or learn a little code. See here, for instance.

Wow, I didn't remember this thread at all, despite my recent attempts on here at brushing up on my Spanish. They've tapered off, not because I've quit trying, but because I found a forum specifically for English speakers (or anyone else, for that matter) trying to learn Spanish, as well as for people trying to learn English.

It's great help to converse with people who have Spanish as a first language.
