Default The Unique Lyrics Game

I played this with the other Student Ambassadors when in Australia to pass the long rides it the Motor Coach. Name an unusual word or phrase that appears in a more or less popular song and the next person says what song they think it is. If they are right, they say the next word/phrase to be guessed.
Example: "Hair like Star Wars"
Answer: Year 3000, Jonas Brothers

Here is the first, fairly easy: "99 Decision Street"

Sorry, my brother wanted to go on the computer, so I was rushing to get done and typed the wrong name. I'm going back to fix it.

The first line of Rocket Man is similar ("She packed my bags last night, pre-flight"), but I don't know if that's the answer.

Na.

Above may be taken as a clue.

JB certainly sang it, though.

Something clicked.

Boney Maroney? The version I remember was by Richie Valens.

Don't know the song title, but doesn't "hey, hey, goodbye" follow it?

Na.

But Boney Maroney IS mentioned:

Got to know how to pony
Like Boney Marony

also

Do the watusi, like my little Lucy, hey!

In fairness, this is one of those songs where the lyrics get interpreted (jumbled) by different artistes sometimes.

But the refrain is timeless. In fact, it seems to go on forever.

That was Na Na Hey Hey (Kiss Him Goodbye) by Steam (Gary DeCarlo, Dale Frashuer and Paul Leka) from 1969. Here's a MIDI.
