What's binary for "Sense of Humor does not compute"?

Same as for "funny when it was new".

Photographic evidence of water on Mars (2005 September 23)
Water on Mars! APOD image gives irrefutable proof (2005 April 1)
Water on Mars! (2005 April 1)

I'd expect there's more. I remember that picture from before APOD used it. But, it's hard to pick out the joke topics from the real ones about water on Mars.

Your hotlinked image to a (probably copyrighted) image failed to display.

Others: it's "The Dark Knight" movie Joker drawing text "Why so serious?" in blood.

If the site allowed deep links into content, this would work to take you there (but it doesn't):
http://popculturewilleatitself.com/w...so-serious.jpg
You can cut and paste this into a browser to see it:

But, broken may be better, given the suggestions for linking images in the Rules For Posting To This Board. I don't know where this case lies. Maybe the donor site is OK with it. Maybe the image is public domain, or the owner doesn't care. But, a simple link, like I supplied, is quite often the best choice.

Try to avoid putting in links to images directly from someone else's website. This can add a lot to their bandwidth, and then the host has to pay for it. In other words, if you see an image you like on an astronomy site, put in a link to that site, but don't use the [IMG] tags so the image loads into your post from their site directly.

Gees, having a life outside the computer must really suck I mean, I don't even know the lengths of time internet jokes have been around.

If you are suspicious of your knowledge, or recall, of what might have been already seen by others and not of interest, and even if not, as a kind favor to your readers, you can simply describe what they'll get when they follow your link. If you think an honest description might spoil the hilarity, you can add spoiler protection to it (for instance, this spoiler in white text, description: a glass of water atop a Mars candy bar -- ha!). Then, your readers can be responsible for deciding if they actually wish to make the link leap.

Old topic Stop the mystery links, please makes the plea and offers some suggestions to assist readers.

It's not something you (or anyone else out there reading this) must do if it cramps your style or is otherwise a burden to you; however, please don't feel put upon if others see the lack and follow up on your undocumented links with documentation -- as I did for this one.

No, I rather enjoy watching just how anal retentive some forum members can get.

Ahem!
This was the first time I saw this joke.
I didn't find it funny, especially since it was posted on Astronomy section. If it was on OTB maybe it would have been funny.

Doesn't work for me, either.
