I agree with all of the above, especially a dog barking for no particular reason (which is another reason I love CATS...they don't bark!). NZ and Aus accents: I don't hear either often enough to distinguish.

People who sniff and sniff instead of just going ahead and blowing their nose. Whip out the handkerchief already! Sheesh.

Reading about what happened to the Sojourner rover in its last days after the lander shut down. Circling at a distance of ten feet over and over again, sending signals nobody would ever recieve... it's just very sad.

Seriously?

I hate the fact that my sister-in-law is voicing a complete willingness to squander her Bachelors Degree in education. Instead of going on to teach locally and inspire a certain type of student (this is entirely possible for her), she's making two alternate plans of NOT applying her education.

Sure it's a free country and she's an adult (late 40s) yada yada...but I'm wondering what was the point and why I'm going to take 1/2 day off from work, drive 60 miles to sit in an overcrowded and stuffy auditorium to watch her receive a diploma which she apparently does not appreciate the true value of.

All I have is a business college diploma. At least I understood its value and applied it to a real career.

I have no respect for people who don't value and apply knowledge.

Getting back from the market and starting to unpack my groceries, then realizing there was something I forgot to buy. Serves me right for not making a shopping list.

Pouring canned soup into a bowl and accidentally spilling it all over the counter and the floor. You know you're a lousy cook when you can't even make canned soup right.

And I did both of these things today!

Mosquitoes. Especially salt marsh mosquitoes, who are even too stupid or aggressive to figure out they're supposed to be crepuscular.

And ticks, but who doesn't?

Finding out you accidentally hit the trunk open button on your electronic car key for your new car and it was raining that night.
