I agree! We have a hooded litter box and a "litter catching mat" for when they exit and the litter still gets spread out far beyond the litter box. Our daily cat chores include: litter clean up (sweeping), scooping, bagging and litter replacement (if needed), feeding, fresh water, and finding lost toys.

Oh, but it's worth it!

You are probably not preparing it correctly. Do you brown it with onions in a little olive oil before simmering? It makes quite a difference.
