Default X rays - Please help...

Anyone know the future uses of x rays within a hospital? or what the future adaptations are to make it less harmful etc?

You might want to search the internet for info from companies that make CAT scanners and similar devices. I believe there is work on increasing instrument sensitivity, both to improve detection limits (such as making feature size smaller) and to lower the x-ray dose required. I've also seen increasing use of digital detectors rather than film (my dentist uses such as system), thought I don't know how that effects safety.
