Domains are not always aligned, and they often act against each other to reduce the strength of the net magnetic field (the message that is feeding back into the CNS or CPU), causing such people or social groups to have a balanced, but weak, opinion.

If one puts the ferromagnetic material (good listener) into an externally applied magnetic field (good instructive environment), the domains ("cognitively imagined devil's advocates") tend to line up, so that the sum of the messages from the good listener and the resulting message is higher in magnitude than the applied message alone.

What magnetic fields are for overt messages (notice the use of magnets in speaker devices), electric fields are for subliminal input.
