Default Cranberries

Something for the ladies...

I can understand why the cran-tastic properties against UTIs will hold true for females mostly, but the dental and ulcers stuff, any guesses as to why that would be only female-beneficial? Indeed, I'd like to know if they included men in whatever studies they did.

Most of the women I know have been using cranberry juice as a medication (very few of us have insurance) for UTIs for years. I don't, but then, I don't like cranberry juice. It takes longer than antibiotics, but it's cheaper and easier to get.

The NDM molecule's coating ability would seem to suggest the juice be an effective preventative for UTIs.

I guess that's why I love eating them, but my brother finds them gross.

The American cranberry juice company Ocean Spray funded a majority of Prof. Ofek’s early research and his later research on ulcers.
And right there is where I stop trusting the results.

Who should fund the studies?

Heheh...never fails, does it? Next the findings will tell that they cause birth defects and increase the risk of breast cancer. I'll be shocked.

I no longer listen to anything any media says when it comes to nutrition and what is good or bad for you, it's all crap. Moderation is key because everything is bad for you in some way.

Now excuse me while I go eat way too much bacon putting me at severe risk of instantaneous death based on the last findings.
