Is discussion of such things allowable here now? I got yelled at by some members for discussing interspecies hybridization and evolution.

Something about this being a family-oriented board. "Think of the children" or somesuch.

But this is just biology. I really don't understand why it would be an issue.

People who think children should be "protected" from hearing about certain facts of life have their own way of thinking. It's not rational, it's emotional, based on their own insecurities and issue because they were raised to think of sex as something "dirty".

Yes, I know. I just don't like the idea of censorship in most cases. That said, this is Fraser's and the BA's board. I play by the rules. I just think that this should get a pass since this is a science board.

I thought about the forum rules, but I reckoned most children won't even be familiar with terms used in the article. And the news was originally published on the New Scientist, so this is about real research.

Further puns are welcome, though.

Since it hasn't been closed, I'd say it got that pass. If it even needed one.

...Actually, in the interests of not getting banned, I'm voluntarily staying clear of this one.

I'd have to reject the conclusion that people without a G spot cannot experience a vaginal orgasm. There are people in this world who can orgasm when they taste ice cream or look at a picture of a goat. This leads me to conclude that a vaginal orgasm without a G spot is far from impossible.

I agree, a womans mood has a much greater bearing on an orgasm, then a certain area. I am not saying it isn't a very sensitive area, maybe more so then the clitoris, but to say right then and there she can't achieve vaginal orgasm, seems rather premature. It would be dangerous reproductively for a woman if a stimulating a certain area was all that was needed, in the same way that it would be bad if woman got turned on the same way as men with pornography. It would give men an unfair advantage reproductively.

That noone commented on the OP, which had an ok pun and didn't actually discuss the subject, shouldn't be seen as a free pass to go ahead and discuss the subject in detail.
I'm leaving the last two posts at the moment, but please keep in mind that we have members from multiple cultures, some of which consider this subject taboo when there are children among the readership.

I don't know the gender of all the posters here, but I would be interested in a woman's opinion of the findings.
