I think you may have hit on the reason Neanderthals disappeared. All the Homo Sapiens males outsmarted the Neanderthal males and got their women. Who knows, maybe Neanderthal women were the "dumb blonds" of their day... don't be too hard on our ancestors for taking advantage.
