Don't know if this is a Joke but someone is trying to set up an Evolution Museum .
The Plan The proposed location for the Evolution Museum is right across the highway from the Creation Museum. The Evolution Museum will be a non-profit and funded through online donations. The pillars of the non-profit will hold the values of transparency and social direction. All activities will be published online and members will be able to give guidance to the non-profit. http://evolutionmuseum.org/index.php |

We already have "evolution museums."
They're commonly referred to as "museums." They already have one of those in the neighborhood. |

What is different though, that it will have a very "in-your-face" theme rather than just general history.

I think its silly and gesture politics. Evolution theory does not need to compete with Creationism. To do so gives too much credence to Creationism as a "science".
Better to make a super huge and detailed museum somehwere with all the fossils, bones, and other evidence. Make it a classy science museum instead of a polemical type museum only created in order to debunk the "museum" across the street. I doubt the people across the street are going to change their minds no matter what. So its a pointless excercise. |

When those points are taken point by point and explained why they are wrong, then they work better than general knowledge for those types. Sometimes it's hard to match the knowlege to specific details. Jay wouldn't have such a good website otherwise.

Here's a biologist's take on it. He calls it good idea, utterly horrible execution:

The biologist cites a journal that says he was approached by the website creator. While the science journal writere may be credible, he says nothing about the creator. The website lists no credible contacts that I can see. Most serious projects like this usually get somebody notable on board that's willing to throw some reputation into it before releasing it to the public.

Yea. And they are funded by the 'not-suppose-to-be-religious' government. ![]() |

The rules have exceptions for science related political topics. I also acknowledged the rules in my post and explained my why I thought my post was appropriate. Your post is of a clearly different nature.

There was no address, no name, no nothing to build confidence on the site. Meyers said the website was "thin" but it's really just a pretty looking design with no content. |

Don't try to shift the blame to someone else, this is not kindergarten don't act like you're still there. This is the last leniency you've gotten for newbieness.
