Default The LHC And The Dominium Model

Apologies if there is already a topic on this.

Hi all, I have a bit of a worrying problem, so naturally when I heard about the LHC, I fell victim to the "fear mongering." Needless to say, I'm feeling a lot beter now, after doing a lot of research.

One odd thing that has popped up is something called the "Dominium Model," which says the LHC will produce stable MBHs. Now, I am very skeptical, and I have seen many flaws pointed out in the model (which has a very religious undertone) so I'm not too worried, and the cosmic ray argument is very solid. However, I figured I'd let the intelligent members of this forum take a look at it. I've seen a lot of intelligent people here, who are much more knowledgable in science/physics than me.

This post has been reported as suspicious due to the strange link, though so far as I can tell it just goes to a PDF file (albeit a 764k, 91-page one - dialup users be warned).

And I haven't looked at it in any detail at all - if any of our resident physics experts think this is ATM, then report the post accordingly, and we'll move it.

Oh, and welcome to BAUT, tayman!

My apologies, I should have posted a warning that it is a long PDF file, although there is nothing "suspicious" about it, it is just a "model" of nonsense. I just wanted to see someone with more knowledge in the subject look it over. If I have broken any rules, I apologize, and you can delete this thread.

And thanks for the warm welcome!

Out of curiosity, I went to download the file, but alas, it no longer exists.

Indeed, only the message:

The Dominium:
(sequencing antimatter and gravity effects: Big bang to black hole and implications for a manmade near-future: Doomsday)
A scientific model chronicling events from BigBang to BigBang, with implications for a man-made near future: end-of-all-live on Earth

sounds fascinating (yeah right!)

Ah okay, it is a book! you can buy it at amazon
(commercial link here: http://www.amazon.com/Dominium-Seque.../dp/0980096324 if you really have to)

aparently, after googling all links seem to disappear with respect to the Dominium and to author hassanuddin

I was wrong here is a page which still has some info.

Wow, I had no idea the link had disappeared. His (the author of the model) blog on SciAm seems to be down too. Guess there's no point in keeping this thread open then.

Perhaps the Dominium Model has been sucked into a black hole, suspiciously around the time of the LHC activation activities, thereby, by its ceasing to be, providing evidence of its own correctness -- information which, too, shall inevitably wind up in the very same black hole.

Meet ya'll on the other side of the event horizon!

Well The Dominion has something to do with worm holes, if not black holes.

I know the link for the model is down, but I know that one core idea of the model is that matter and anti matter repel gravitationally. I have no idea if this is true or not, or the science behind it, but I know that Supernova 1987A says otherwise. Wouldn't mind hearing more about this.

Also, there's some discussion of the model here.
