I never heard more about it, but apperantly Titan (a moon of Saturn), had ice on it and some believed that there may be life. Was that theory ever proven wrong?

From what I recall, from those who know?
It's believed that if we find liquid water, life's pretty much a done deal,
Titan and that ice moon (Europa?) or am I having an early senior moment? One we can see it's an actively cracking ice ball, the other (titan I think) has to much atmosphere to tell, and the radar reflects as a possible liquid. Any way if there are oceans and ocean worlds/moons there will be something floating around. Probably driving a volkswagon...

Titan is Saturn's largest satellite.

There's good information in another thread Deep_eye, Seems it's a frozen ball of hydrocarbons, smog and rocket fuel... so as long as there's no oxygen we don't have to worry about the whole thing exploding Whatever life we find there will certainly be of a different base system of molecules... (i.e.) anoxic or anaerobic... I think... I like our chances on Europa better for something we could recognize and maybe eat :huh: ... When I was a kid we dreamed of liquid planets, of course we were told it was not physically possible, I always had my doubts about that, couldn't see why not... But Like we are hearing, Cassini will soon be telling us much more than we can imagine...
