I found this very interesting. This tribe has never before been contacted by the outside world. They live a nomadic, pre-agricultural lifestyle that has changed little, if at all, in thousands of years. I wonder if it says anything about the likelihood of there being other intelligent civilizations out there, perhaps far in advance of our own, that simply haven't gotten around to finding us yet. We can view basically any spot on the planet by satellite, have maps of every island, continent, and ocean, and yet there are still many spots that have never been explored. Could it be that the reason no one's come or called is that the galaxy is just too large to bother exploring every inch, and we happen to be in a region generally viewed as not worth going to? |

*points to Brazilian tribes - Prime Directive precedent? *
They have agriculture, by the way. And a pretty permanent-looking settlement. ![]()

Deleted. Wasn't aware it was a duplicate thread.
