Some would say that is the best time to do some thinking.

I am home now, as of yesterday afternoon, and feeling better, though still in pain. I'll post when I can, but it might not be wise to try thinking while under the influence of narcotics.

Surgery went well and I am recovering, but I have now tested positive for MRSA, which means I have to have a private room.

Okay, my surgery is tomorrow, Thursday, September 3rd. If you don't hear from me, well, you'll know what to do.

Have some drinks and remember to live life more fully.

In case I disappear for a while, y'all should know that I've been ill off and on for 2 years. I have a diagnostic procedure coming up tomorrow and will likely have major surgery within a week or two and will probably be in the hospital for a week's stay.

I'll know after tomorrow what is the cause and whether the surgery will cure it or merely repair the damage. I mention it now, instead of later in the week because I feel I may be having a relapse and may end up in surgery without a chance to post this.

In the unlikely event that I don't make it, know that I hope there is a place beyond the stars where we might all post to the happy bulletin board in the sky.
