    Hi Dale,

No, I'm still using contact lenses. Unfortunately, in addition to those to correct my near-sightedness, I need reading glasses more and more these days for any kind of close-up work. My eye doctor suggested that one solution is to have my prescription adjusted so that one eye is optimized for close up work and the other for long distance. It sounds like an interesting idea, but I suspect there will be a loss of depth perception.

I may go for surgery at some point in the future, but doubt it would be worth the effort if I'll still need glasses for close-up work.

    Hi
I was reading an old message of your's from 06 called "severely nearsighted vision". I get the same effect w/o my contacts/glasses. Did you ever get your vision corrected by lasik or implants?

    Dale
