    But I think the thought of The Gulf and the palm trees, is pretty apposite. The two exists together, afterall.

    Gulf Stream is most welcome for its warmth. But mingles with the Arctic currents and makes lingering fog.

    It's not ecologically warm enough for palm trees to grow here, naturally.
    But there are lots of places besides botanical gardens, where they are nutured, for decoration and garden 'features'.

    Can you imagine, if they had been growing here naturally, we could have had Sir Isaac Newton, then perhaps, sitting under a palm tree. Any subsequent falling coconut would have been unlucky for Science.....

    just popped by to say say hi and happy hunting the skies...Comets-wise and otherwise...

    there are many many members of BAUT, who, I feel, are born for astrophotography too!
