skwerlsr, thanks for your friendly words! I read quickly your article (unfortunately I'm very busy right now). I must congratulate you for not having "the lock" in your mind: something that seems to prevent most people even consider the possibility that there might be unmanned extraterrestial probes in our solar system, maybe even self-replicating ones.

However, I'm a bit suspicious creators of VNP would let it mutate freely. First, it would prevent them for doing what the creator intended, and second, they could even harm the creator.

Also, there were some things I didn't quite get. Like the concept of Allspark, maybe you could make your article more lengthy and clarify your points.

Dude, what you wrote is well informed and impressive. If I was your college prof. I'd give you an "A". However I beg to differ the intentions of the creators of their VNP's.

Here's what I wrote about VNP's and their most likely purpose. There are many scenarios to what their intentions are but they all would most likely have the instruction to learn and bring back information such as 1) other life, 2) knowledge on physics and 3) possible new ways to harness energy.
