Default Chemtrails, shemtrails......

Heard some guy on C2C one morning whining about "chemtrails" and such. Checked it out at Chemtrail Central. Boy, those folks get their shorts in a bunch when someone questions the reality of some of their pet "theories".

Check it out:

I gave up on trying to reason with those woo-woos some time ago. It's like they have never seen the sky before! For example (from the main page of Chem Trail Central):
Quote:
Strange clouds, such as black bottom clouds
Like they've never seen a cumulo-nimbus cloud in their life!

Don't even try to explain that the length of contrails is a function of upper atmospheric humidity. They aren't interested in anything that upsets their fantasy world.

Those black-bottomed clouds certainly look threatening. What's even worse are the white tops! Those are just plain scary!

And some think chemtrails only affect the sky. The ocean's are being affected, too! Look at the white tops on these waves! Isn't the ocean supposed to be blue? Then how come parts are turning white? It's those chemtrails, I tell you. 70% of them land in the ocean and the changes are obvious!!

I had a run in with this bunch over on GLP a year of so back, your right , they seem to live in thought proof boxes, where no light penetrates,

My favorite posting came from a British spotter who reported Dutch F-16 on a NATO exercise had been spraying over his house , at low level yet ,
When prompted as to where the "chemicals" were stored in such a shamm aircraft as an F-16 , he seemed at something of a loss to explain ....

A lot of the chemtrailers at GLP were simply too deluded to be serious. I'm convinced a large portion of them were doing it just for kicks, especailly when they came out with statements like "You'd have to be totally blind to have not seen the sky criss-crossed with these things."

It's pretty much the same as with any of the other popular manifestations of conspiracism. If you have the temerity to question the Revealed Truth, you can expect a reaction that's about as rational as what you get if you step on a cat's tail.

If, like me, you find chemmie maunderings and other examples of paranoid conspiracist thinking both amusing and a worrying example of where our collective intelligence might be heading, check out The Portland Independent Media Center. The Portland IMC newswire kind of specializes in Alcoa haberdashery.

As an exercise, try challenging any of the chemmie assumptions (using the comment function) and see how long it takes before you're dubbed a Government Troll.

Alcoa = Aluminum Company Of America - largest producer of aluminum foil

haberdashery - making of hats.

Alcoa Haberdashery - subsidiary of Alcoa making tinfoil beanies for woo-woos (company's most profitable division.)

Actually, I wonder of Alcoa is secretely behind all the woo-woo stuff to increase their sales?

I'll let you go about Alcoa, but your lack of knowledge about the aluminum industry does not prove your sanity. Sorry.

I see the Chemtrail central website is down. Is it down for everyone or have I been blocked for questioning the Holy of Holie (poop) Website of TRUTH?

My favourite kooktrail screeds are when the gummint is doing it to them personally. We had a Planet X twinkie on Usenet who said he couldn't give us any accurate PX observations because of those fiendish RCAF chemtrailers overflying his small town in British Columbia just to keep the truth from him.

You might also put a little note about editing to remove offensive word. Some people on this board are uptight about editing. Of course you already have permission to do so from the only person whose opinion matters about such things on this board. (ie the BA hissownself)

There is a thread about that picture on GLP (Contrails or chemtrails?).

They did get cloud cover!

Okay, not very much (depending on whether that light gray tone over Alabama and Georgia is clouds or coalesced contrails). There is a batch of cumulus clouds over the Atlantic, and there are several clouds (can't tell what kind without more information) scattered around - one such area is over the Space Center.

So, my question is: Why is NASA spraying themselves? :-s

Couldn't get flu shots the normal way?
