Pardon me. I´m no one to judge anything, but I think this thread sends a wrong (confusing) message for anyone who´s considering posting in this board. People have hijacked the thread attempting to get around its political nature. Since both political posting and thread hijacking are not commonly tolerated here, I don´t see any reason for this to linger on. But, of course, I may be wrong.

Edited for grammar

Work at it? Mine does that naturally as well. I always get up looking like I've just had a horrible, hair-raising nightmare. Sometimes I have.

26 votes? O.K., some of us are not as uninvolved in this topic as we seem.

If I was American, I'd go for Kerry. That's if Dubya hasn't sabotaged the chad-machines yet... #-o

There was no need for that comment.

What is it with some people and stepping out in front of a moving bicycle? I swear, at least three people walked out in front of me on my way to class today. I'm passing bloody cars on the street, but it's ME they want to get hit by. Go figure.

Yes 5 inches of rain was a little bit. I had less than a foot going over my main driveway bridge. Not too bad. I have seen a 12 inch rain. Then around 5 feet of water goes over the bridge and my small creek becomes an eight of a mile wide. Then it even starts to go over my suspended walking bridge. Kind of keeps me pegged in. Can't get in or out. I become a little like an island. Life in the backwoods - isn't it grand.

Maybe Canada is difference but in the US bicycles are suppose to stop for pedestrians at intersections. Where you at an intersection and didn't stop for the pedestrians.

He was probably mowing them down on the sidewalk no doubt.

I don't follow the rules of the road when I'm on a bike. The police are fairly lenient around here, although I have heard of people being ticketed for riding drunk.

You're not wrong.

banquo emailed me asking if he could start a thread about this topic, and I streered him to start one about the science advocacy of both candidates. That thread is still an option. This one ain't.
