No, yes and no.

The exception being Bobby Hill. His effeminate nature as a pre-teen would play well as he grew into manhood, I think. Poor Hank is so wanting him to be a man's man already. It'd be fun to watch what happened as Bobby aged.

I agree with Wally. As kids Bart and Cartman can be called entertaining, as adults they'd be called criminals.

Well, we've seen Bart grown up in various episodes... it just doen't work for me.

Plus it's funnier having them make jokes about them not aging over 16 seasons.

I recall a cartoon in some publication like the National Lampoon or similar, and it was poking fun at Peanuts.

There was a guy at the bus stop drawn similar to CHarlie Brown and Linus except he had a mustache and was carrying a briefcase. He looked at Charlie Brown and said something like "How long you think you can keep pulling off this kid thing?"

I wouldn't want to see Bart grow up on the show, but it is amusing to imagine him older. In prison for drugs? Came around and is now in sales? Gay? Lisa - two kids and divorced, heavy smoker, bitter.

My favorite part of the movie ANimal House is the end where it tells what each member of the cast went on to become. Senator and Mrs Blutarski. I imagine Bobby as Flounder. Bobby Hill - encounter groups of Austin.

I like the idea of following up on them. The final SImpsons episode ends with Bart closing his scrapbook and saying to his grandkids, "Well, that's what it was like when I was a kid." It's no you oughta wear more sweaters, but a nice twist. Certainly better than Bobby Ewing.

I like that idea.
