Ladies and gentlemen, it gives me great pleasure to announce that Bill Nye is coming back onto TV this April with a new show!

Fabulous. If I had to engage in a second career, it would be with the goal of becoming Farmer Don - The Science Guy.

I remember seeing him talk on Larry King Live I think it was. He was being interviewd, and said something along the lines that he's not even a real scientist.

He was an inspiration to me. I watched him every day on pbs after school.

Nye used to be a part of the cast of a local comedy show in Seattle: Almost Live. He used to do weird and amusing science skits on the show. I think that's what led to the "Bill Nye, The Science Guy" gig.

I met him a couple of times when I lived in Seattle. He's a genuinely personable and nice kinda guy - pretty damn funny, too. I wish him all the best.

I really think that NASA needs to pick Nye to be their "Teacher in Space" astronaut.

Didn't you ever watch the show? I haven't seen it in so long. Wasn't there a song associated with the introduction? All I can remember are the words, "Bill Nye, the science guy..." Don't make me sing it out loud.

Get thee to a nunne... err, the site with the song! Obviously, the whole song wasn't stuck in your head.

That's pretty cool. He's actuallyan alumnus of my school, and I'm told he gives guest lectures in certain engineering classes all the time. I keep hoping to run into him!
