CHEEEESEUS, I clicked in here to see what was happening and I thought I was looking at the new reduced NASA budget Mars Probe or Habitat or something, and it's some candle butt. This is what happens when I go away for awhile...

And guys, now you know what the gals are talking about, removing testicles, OW, OW, I'm out of here!

The only pictures of myself currently in electronic format is
1 unpublishable,
2, not for mixed company,
3, on my wife's computer,
4, for her enjoyment only.

I don't currently have a scanner for what I do have.
Besides, they are all checked out to scare away the rats.

Just remember that my brother gave it to me. He is a male. I think he took great pains to find that very special gift for me. I bet people will bid a fortune on it on
E-Bay.

Anyone have any ideas on what to get him for Christmas?

Guys, if you really insist on finding that special someone through the internet, please use an online dating service and not the Universe Today forum.

It's unfortunate you felt that way Chook. I think it's equally possible that you could have been angry about people making comments about the attractiveness about your daughters. I know that would unnerve me (maybe it's just my prudish Canadian sensitivity). I think Kashi erred on the sign of caution with his comments, and I appreciate that.

I'm not gonna get involved in this - I'll just suggest that we stick to posting pictures of ourselves

They are indeed beautiful girls, you breed well Chook. *thumbs up* I must admit, I'm fascinated with the tealight dog contraption! Hah.

Algenon, I meant no disrespect towards your brothers' gift, and I've seen very unusual items go for a lot of money on "The Antiques Roadshow". I only meant to comment on the possible direction NASA will take with budget cuts.

No disrespect taken. I laughed when I read it. I just wanted ideas on how to get even, I mean find him a very special gift.

I absolutely agree with Chook. This is all in good clean fun, and there are those who obviously can't stand to see this happening, what a shame!
Fraser, I really think you should honor Chook's self knowledge and not presume that his anger might come from other avenues. That's really degrading and not worthy of this forum.

Totally agree! Chook, you're absolutely right, a PM would have been the best option, that way you could have settled the concerns, even if they were unwarranted.

Cheers.

Chook, my comments were actually intended to protect you not to insult you (which I assume you realise), and even if you didn't find peoples' coments offensive, other users might.

Comments cannot always be taken in "the spirit in which they were given", as most users don't read topics from start to finish. It is therefore more than likely that comments such as Faulkner's would be taken out of context. They could indeed turn people away from this forum.

I'm not going to comment any further on this matter from now on.

Man, I'm sick of getting censored in this forum. What are we, babies?

If only you knew what I have to deal with in my personal life. I'm a movie collector. I get parcels opened by Customs all the time. I've had movies & records & CDs CONFISCATED by our glorious Office of Film & Literature Classification. (No folks, I'm not talking porno etc). This country stinks as far as civil liberties & freedom of expression goes. Even in America you got the bloody First Amendment. We don't have that down here!

Before arriving here, I spent a lot of time over on the DVDRHelp forum (still do!). Over there they certainly don't hesitate calling a spade a spade. Threads often erupt in thermonuclear war! Ha, it's great fun.

To hell with it, I'm outa here! I'm sick of watching my P's and Q's...

(PS: Chook, I certainly meant no offense by the "old fart" comment, mate! Glad you could see that. Cheers!)

Indeed, I guess your concern about turning people away from the forum turns out to be right, only not for the reasons you thought Kashi
Faulkner, I hope you reconsider.

Cheers.

Can I just re-iterate that perhaps we should just stick to posting pics of ourselves?? Perhaps that's the only way to avoid these kinds of unfortunate situations.
