When I post, I should automatically be "subscribed". Again, I didn't get an email for this response. I saw your response while surfing.

Okay, I unsubscribed and then subcribed. Perhaps, this will work. Thank you, crosscountry for making me think to do this.

Such a warm welcome, Archer17, thank you! Aye, and you need to keep an eye on the coffee - it can be addictive as well as giving you palpitations.

I was just looking back through this thread and noticed the sizable Aussie contingent. I had a lot of fun working for a time in South Australia, and met some of my favorite people there (as well as lots of sheep and roos). I'm looking forward to a lively time here!

Which way to the stargate? :-)

Stargate? What's a stargate? I work on deep space radar telemetry.

Hi Candy, I'm guessing with your subscription problems you're catching up on old listings in this thread. Nice picture of my namesake.

Thread reply emails are only sent while you are offline, and only once per thread until you log back in again.

This way, it really saves on inbox space.

I set mine up to receive an email everytime someone replies to a subscribed thread. I received this email while logged on.

In fact, I get an email everytime someone replies to a subscribed thread. I got 2 - V formations while logged on, before I even clicked on one of the links. I only get one email, per subscription (even with multiple replies), when I am logged off. Come to think of it, this is getting way confusing.

The unsubscribing, the subscribing seemed to fix the glitch.

I'm a videotape operator at a TV station. Aside from astronomy, I'm also a huge golf nut. I enjoy yoga and karate, and I make my own beer.

Hi, I am Igor. I am 39 years old, I live in Lynn, MA, USA, and my dream in life is to
develop the outer space tourism and cruise line industry. Anyone with an interest
in this field?

I wonder why you do that. The subscription panel has all the new replies ready for you without the hassle of email.

Hello, Igor. I see you've posted a couple of times in Space Exploration. I usually follow ToSeek around the forum, because he is usually the first to post a new update. I love reading about Space Travel and Tourism. I work for an airline, but I would give my right pinky toe to work for Virgin Galactic.

crosscountry, I don't know why I do it. Perhaps, because I don't get many emails on a personal level. Reading new posts is fun and relaxing for me. Work is a different story. I'll have 300 emails tomorrow afternoon. I am expected to read each and everyone of them. They're not fun, most often depressing, except for the occasional one from Avaya. There's a guy there that reminds me of our very own Grapes.

I see. personally, I'd prefer my inbox to be empty than have announcements of replies. But I'm strange.

Default Where to introduce?

Well, I guess this is an introduction thread, as well as an inquisitive one as to where to post introductions. I hate to be the dumb newb. So, hello and where?

Welcome to the forum, Priscilla. I took the liberty of moving your post to our existing introduction thread. Enjoy.

Welcome to the BAUT!

We had this thread for introductions. It apparently aged off the first few pages.

Meanwhile, have fun!

While typing the above reply Wolverine moved you to the thread I linked to.

Faster than a speeding bulletin board, able to leap between the longest threads, more powerful than dark energy...Look! Up on the BAUT, it's a star, it's a UFO, no, it's one of our moderators!

Yes, it's a BAUT moderator. Come from the BABB and UT with powers far beyond those of common posters, they fight for truth, politeness, and the BAUT way! (kettledrums pounding and horns blazing in the the background as the FAQs scroll up the screen and disappear into the distance)...
