Lightbulb science movies

as we have seen verious movies based on science, but today we are observing people just looks the television with having 4-5 times pressing the buttons, and off their television, other went in the cinema theatre to look the movie, but they either prefer family movies, or just fighting movies, jakie- chan, silvester stallion and so on, but there are very few scinece movies for which a least que looks, this is a very well observation by me, there are least people in the world who looks movies frequently based on the science though there are least published or released movies to the screen. do you think that science movies can be the best to do a propoganda of verious technologies and contributions made by the scientist in this world?

and what sort of science movies must be there? for university level, any university can take a oral test by asking questions on that "science based movie" in their campus. so that the student may become aware about the verious thoughts covered in the movie and their ability of awareness about science and technology. But i think there is no such thing is going on, in my opinion there is need on vast base to provide the important information relating with the science issues to the people of world. But many great technology and scientific thoughts reach to the peoples very lately. please state your opinion.. and how many movies you have seen and on which concepts that was based.

my point is " is there anything educative in the science movie", secondly science movies are just to see for the different vehicles and locations and a difficult story, thirdly science movies are just for make and run the script for 2 hours with some noise and few inventions, fourthly, science movies are having some boundaries to do the propoganda on a large scale, fifthly, science movies can creat a great awareness amongst the people about science ?

Hi Suntrack2,

If by Science Movie, you mean Science Fiction film, I think most such films compromise the science for the sake of ease of filming, or telling an exciting story. It is possible that some students will become inspired to study science by such films, but the films rarely get science looking like it really is.

If you mean actual movies about science rather than scienc fiction, other than on TVs educational channels, the last science films I recall were in grade school. We had the Bell Labs series - Bell as in telephone. I remember specifically Hemo the Magnificent. It was all about blood and the circulatory system. It was cartoon and rather Disney-ish. There were others in the series I don't now recall.

Oh my Lord, I just looked it up. The movie was written and directed by Frank Capra of all people.

thanks antoniseb and Enzp for your reply,
the main reading of the spectators every time, they form a " different opinion more better movie seen this time than the last", if we ask them for the further movie, they just stop their palms, that will be define later but this is a good movie, if i ask them after just 2-3 days later they said that the movie was not that much new only the bottle was new and the chemical into it was old, as this is happening with the science movies, today. most of the school and college people shows their enthusiasm while entering in the movie hall, when they returned from the hall i asked them verious questions regarding the movie, they forgot to give right answers, they were only recalling the fighting seens of that movie as the " fighting " always shown in the science movie, do you believe it that such and such movie is purely a science movie ?
