i violated 3 board rules in my first 5 posts? tell me exactly what i did wrong.

i posted a reply to "I just cant imagine how vacum can really exist, please help." thread and "moon one sixth of earth's gravity?" thread.... then made what i thought was a very fun topic (google image wars), then i wondered why someone kept double posting everywhere and reminded him there was an edit button, and then i made a thread inquiring why the google image war topic was locked.

...and about my thread about the monkey's smoking :P i left the link, so there was no copywrite issue of me quoting what was said, as i showed it wasn't me that was saying it

the rules are there for a reason, but some people obviously didn't undestand about why the don't quote things rule is there, it's to stop people copying other people's stuff.... but i left a link so only an idiot would think that i had written all that stuff myself.

anyways i can guarantee you that if it was someone with a higher post count that made those thread they would not of got a 3 day ban, you really know how to make someone who's new to the site not feel welcome.

You don't seem to undestand the "don't quote things" rule. You copied the entire article into this forum. Copyright gives the owners of those words the right to control how a copy is used. You should not copy so much of their work -- even if you give attribution so we know you aren't claiming they are yours -- without their permission.

For instance, the creator (or whoever was licensed to publish it) may receive advertising revenue based upon how many human eyeballs view their site's page. If you reproduce their effort elsewhere, you deprive them of their just reward. Before you copy something beyond "fair use", get the permission to do so.

Simtom, you are obviously very young, so I would allow you some growing room. But coming here to boast of what you got away with elsewhere is not likely to make you any friends. Simtom, member Candy, who has the second highest post count of all, has been banned before. Other long-time and well-respected members have been banned as well. If you don't play by the rules, you aren't welcome. It's as simple as that.
