False-color image of a Wolf-Rayet star. I don't know what part of the spectrum it's in.

Mine is of the Witch-king from J.R.R. Tolkien's The Lord Of The Rings. I'm a very keen Tolkienologist, and the Lord of the Nazgûl is probably the character I find most interesting.

Also, and in keeping with the tone of the character depicted, I couldn't care less whether anybody likes it or not.

My passport photo is too big to use here, although I do use it on other boards.

My reasoning since the last thread hasn't changed, though I changed the frog. I like frogs and I seem to be one of the resident nature geeks. This particular species, the so called "Blue Jean Frog" is one I saw in Costa Rica when I was there in March 2005. Frogs are swift little guys too!

Eta, as crazy as this sounds, that picture of Pauli is exactly how I pictured the protagonist of Lovecraft's "The Shadow over Innsmouth". Every time I see it, I get goosebumps.

I don't remember just how I picked mine out, just that it seemed like an obvious choice at the time.

For mine it was just the most recent picture of me that I halfway liked. It's about three years old and was just prior to my honeymoon, hence the Mickey Mouse top hat and grenades.

Now that you have completed your honeymoon, I suppose you no longer need the top hat (other items may still be helpful).

You are presently among the top ten, but where depends on what you get your wife for Valentine's Day.
